Description

A fascinating and soothing experience!

A key element of any multisensory space, fiber optics invite tactile exploration and visual stimulation. When lit, they offer a magical spectacle. The long filaments can be braided, knotted or wound. Even when switched off, the fibers react to black light and become visible. For the visually impaired, optical fibers allow light to be perceived differently, to be touched and manipulated.

With the mirror, colors are doubled and blended, and the sensory space appears larger. For use with UV lamps ref. 61538, 61994 or 61995.

Specialist's opinion

Snoezelen pedagogy induces well-being (...) It involves creating an atmosphere using materials, textures, colors, smells and sounds, as an invitation to a sensory journey. (...) It's a non-directive practice. The approach is based on awakening to the outside world through the body and the five senses. The companion is a facilitator who listens to responses to stimuli and acts on the atmosphere if necessary (...) The practice of Snoezelen is above all a sensory savoir-faire on the part of the stimulating person towards the stimulated person. The Snoezelen philosophy is based on 3 distinct, ritualized phases: discovery and relaxation, relaxation and sensory experiences, interactivity and return to reality (...).
