Draw a 20 cm square in the green felt and cut it out.
On the back of the black felt, trace and then cut 4 strips 0.5 cm wide by 20 cm long.
Glue the black strips onto the green background, at 6.5 cm and 13 cm from the edge respectively, on 2 sides.
The chicks
Using the templates and a marker, trace the following shapes and then cut them out:
- 10 large eggs on the white felt,
- 10 large eggs on the blue felt,
- 5 smaller eggs on the yellow felt,
- 5 smaller eggs on the red felt,
- 5 small beaks, 5 crests and 10 wings on the blue felt,
- 5 small beaks, 5 crests and 10 wings on the orange felt.
Assemble the elements as follows, gluing the small felt pieces onto the larger shapes.
Version 1: sew the eggs back to back, and insert a small cotton ball inside to create volume. Version 2: With the adhesive felt, don’t forget to place a small cotton ball between the 2 elements, before sticking the 2 largest eggs back to back.
Glue the eyes onto each of the little chicks to finalize your game.
