Description

Encourages understanding, inspires an interest in reading and develops vocabulary.

A Japanese tradition, dating back to the 12th century, the Kamishibai literally means: “paper theatre”. It is played using a set of pictures shown in a butai (wooden theatre), with three doors. A Kamishibai is composed of a set of numbered cards, telling a story. Each card depicts an episode of the narrative, the front shows the illustration, the reverse contains the text to be narrated. This form of representation helps children concentrate and immerse themselves in the magical world of storytelling.

For this year’s spring tea party, Little Wolf wants to bake an apple pie. Except that he doesn’t know how to cook. So here he is in the forest, determined to find someone to help him. And who will he meet? Three little pigs, Little Red Riding Hood, a witch... It takes all these adventures to make Auntie Rosette’s delicious cake!
