A traditional Japanese game, dating back to the 12th century, Kamishibai literally means: “paper theatre”. It is played using a set of pictures shown in a butai (wooden theatre), with three doors. A Kamishibai is composed of a set of numbered cards, telling a story. Each card depicts an episode of the narrative, the front shows the illustration, the reverse contains the text to be narrated. This form of representation helps children concentrate and immerse themselves in the magical world of storytelling.

The product description is incorrect. It is impossible to hold an A3 kamishibai, the butai is so large that only the kamishibai sold on the site fit inside. However, the most common A3 kamishibai available in media libraries or libraries are unusable. I then took the same edition of kamishibai to make an order for the age group that interests me because there are very few references sold on the Wesco site and it is impossible to place an order unless you are a library or a school teacher. So I end up with an overpriced unusable butai for kamishibai. On the positive side, the model is all wood and of beautiful quality

The wood is thinner than I thought but still more resistant than a cardboard model. Neutral style, smooth hinge. Too bad the brand is written in large letters on it
