I used it on a regular mattress so I wouldn't have to use a mattress protector anymore, the cover fits perfectly but has a strong smell of PVC-type plastic, the odor diminishes over the days, I waited a few days before letting the baby sleep on it. But I am very satisfied, it fulfills its role perfectly.
