AB Organic
The AB label stands for 'Agriculture Biologique' (Organic Farming) and guarantees that products come from organic farming. This certification notably requires the absence of synthetic pesticides and Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs).
The Blauer Engel is the official German ecolabel, also widely known as the Blue Angel. The Blue Angel label certifies that products or services meet high environmental standards throughout their entire lifecycle (from design and production to end-of-life). This label can be found across various sectors, including cleaning products, paper, textiles, electrical appliances, furniture, and construction materials.
The Bois de France label guarantees that the wood used in a product is harvested and processed in France. It promotes short supply chains and supports the expertise of the entire French timber industry. Its specifications require that over 80% of the wood comes from French forests, and that the processing, assembly, and packaging of the products take place exclusively in France.
The Coton Bio (Organic Cotton) label guarantees that the cotton is grown without chemical pesticides or GMOs, and through farming practices that are gentler on the soil and more water-efficient. It also ensures better working conditions for growers by limiting exposure to toxic substances. Organic cotton thus reduces the environmental impact of cotton farming while promoting more sustainable production. It can be found in clothing, household linen, and textile accessories alike. The Organic Cotton label focuses solely on the raw material and does not cover subsequent processing stages (spinning, dyeing, etc.).
Cradle to cradle
Cradle to Cradle is a voluntary environmental certification awarded by an independent third-party organization and based on ISO 14020 and 14024 standards. It aims to identify and promote products that generate value at every stage of their lifecycle. To achieve this, Cradle to Cradle provides an assessment framework for material and product circularity and sustainability based on five criteria: material health, product circularity, clean air & climate protection, water & soil stewardship, and social fairness. Cradle to Cradle certified products are thus recognized for their environmental performance and their design tailored for circularity throughout their entire lifecycle.
Cosmos Organic certification guarantees that organic or natural cosmetic products meet strict specifications regarding their composition, processing methods, and packaging. Ecocert Cosmos Organic notably mandates: minimum thresholds for natural and organic raw materials, the absence of GMOs and petrochemical ingredients (excluding authorized preservatives), recyclable packaging, and manufacturing practices that respect both the environment and human health.
The Ecocert Ecodetergent label certifies that household cleaning products are formulated with ingredients of natural origin and meet very strict environmental criteria. Its specifications notably include the following requirements: a ban on controversial petrochemical substances, responsible management of natural resources, and environmentally friendly manufacturing processes. The certification also takes packaging into account. This label serves as a guarantee of trust and transparency for the consumer.
The EU Ecolabel certifies that products have a reduced environmental impact throughout their entire lifecycle. It is a shared European certification scheme, making it easily recognizable to consumers. Specific standards are established for each product category, taking into account several criteria: the product's lifecycle, environmental impact (level of biodegradability, aquatic toxicity), performance in use, and eco-friendly packaging design. Detergents, cosmetics, and pet care products are all eligible for EU Ecolabel certification.
FSCⓇ
Forest Stewardship CouncilⓇ (FSCⓇ) is an international certification that guarantees wood and wood-derived products (paper, furniture, packaging, etc.) come from sustainably and responsibly managed forests. It particularly ensures the traceability of wood, the preservation of ecosystems, and the sensible management of resources. The FSC® label relies on two complementary types of certification: one covers forest management, while the other covers the chain of custody, which tracks the wood from the forest all the way to the end product for the consumer.
The international GOTS certification (Global Organic Textile Standard) guarantees that the textile fibres used in clothing, household linen, or fabrics come from organic farming and are grown without products harmful to the environment or human health. The fibres concerned notably include cotton, hemp, silk, wool, and linen. GOTS certification is based on strict specifications covering both environmental criteria and compliance with social standards. From raw materials and manufacturing to packaging and distribution, every stage of the production chain is audited.
is a French certification scheme for the commercial printing industry. Imprim'Vert® certified printers are committed to low-environmental-impact practices: safe management of hazardous waste, non-use of toxic chemicals, monitoring of energy consumption tied to production, and raising awareness among teams and clients regarding eco-friendly practices.
NF Environnement is a certification created in 1991 in France and awarded by an independent body. It guarantees that a product has a reduced environmental impact throughout its entire lifecycle. This certification is based on strict specifications that take into account several criteria, such as limiting hazardous substances and VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) emissions. NF Environnement certification applies to a wide range of product categories, including writing instruments, laser toner cartridges, furniture, and paints and varnishes.
The Nordic Swan is an ecolabel created in 1989 by the Nordic Council of Ministers. It is among the most demanding ecological labels. Its goal is to certify products that have a reduced impact on the environment (energy consumption, pollutant emissions, toxic substances, and product performance). The Nordic Swan label can be found on products such as paper, toys, and cleaning products.
Internationally recognized, the OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 label guarantees that textile products are free from substances harmful to human health and the environment. Every component of the product is tested against rigorous specifications: the raw material, dyes (or other processing methods), and accessories such as buttons or embroidery. The label features four classes corresponding to different levels of strictness, based on the degree of contact between the textile and the skin: from Class 4 (furnishing textiles) to Class 1, which sets the strictest criteria for products intended for children aged 0 to 3.
The Origine France Garantie certification is awarded by an independent body and certifies that a product is entirely manufactured in France and that at least 50% of its manufacturing costs (including raw materials) are of French origin. This label allows consumers to easily identify products that support the local economy and national expertise.
PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) is an international certification that guarantees wood and wood-derived products come from forests managed sustainably and with respect for the environment: preserving biodiversity, forest regeneration, protecting soil and water resources, as well as respecting workers and local communities. PEFC certification monitors both forest management and the traceability of wood throughout the processing supply chain.
Responsible materials are materials with a reduced social and environmental impact throughout the product's entire lifecycle. They are distinguished by their production methods, durability, or verified origin, and prioritize transparency, ethics, and the preservation of natural resources.
Recycled Materials (AGEC Law)
To encourage the circular economy and reduce the use of virgin resources, the AGEC law (French Anti-Waste and Circular Economy Law) sets annual public procurement targets for products derived from reuse, repurposing, or recycling, with varying proportions depending on the product category.
Eco-Friendly Delivery
To reduce carbon footprint, limit package volume, and optimize truck loading, products are delivered flat-packed for assembly.
Recyclable Materials
Recyclable materials are made of materials that can be collected, separated, sorted, and processed to re-enter a production supply chain.
Certified Products
These are products that meet the criteria and standards of their respective certifications. Based on environmental, quality, or ethical criteria, these labels serve as a benchmark to guide consumers in their purchasing decisions. They are awarded by independent and recognized bodies.
