Goalball is played blindfolded in order to respect sporting fairness. The game consists of rolling the ball from its launch zone towards the opponent's goal. Opposing players must stop the ball with any part of their body. If the ball is blocked or goes out, the defenders become attackers and have 8 seconds to make a pass or a shot.
