The first motor skill modules for children aged 3+! An infinite range of versatile courses
In 1984, Wesco was the first designer and manufacturer to offer a range of foam motor skills modules. Designed in collaboration with occupational therapists, this range encourages the expression of childhood characteristics: spontaneity, naturalness, the need to experiment, to move... Used singly or in a number of different combinations, BLOCmodules offer a multitude of possibilities, allowing children to master their motor skills using their whole body, develop their movements, take risks and sequence motor skills actions, etc.
Firm, comfortable foam: 24 kg/m³ density polyether foam for greater longevity over time: does not sag. Hygienic: the vinyl fabric is easy to clean with either a soft cloth or sponge and cold soapy water. Very strong fabric: Vinyl fabric on a jersey support, stitched all round with extra strong nylon thread. This covering does not lead to friction burns. Highly-resistant stitching: All our modules are sewn, with no zip fastenings, to avoid injuring children. Our “embroidered” stitching seals the modules, and prevents children from getting inside them.

The modules lack stability; as soon as a child passes through the circle touching the walls, it wobbles. Moreover, unlike 99% of the motor skills modules found on the market, these have no Velcro, so the modules keep moving, they don't stay stuck to each other. As soon as a child is on it, the module comes apart... it's really a shame because aside from this stability issue, the materials are very good;
Response from Wesco the 07/10/2021 Hello and thank you for sharing your opinion with us. Our motor skills modules have been around for over 30 years and are known for their quality and safety. This range promotes balance development and allows the child to better master their movements while limiting risk-taking. We chose not to put Velcro on our modules to facilitate modularity. Thus, all our motor skills modules can be used in different configurations. Finally, the foam is a soft material that may present slight instability but prevents injuries during a fall. Of course, children who play on these modules must always be supervised by an adult. We hope that you will appreciate these modules more and more with use. Have a nice day.
While crawling, stepping over, balancing and developing a sense of security and self-confidence, children over the age of 3 will learn to master their motor skills and acquire initiative and perseverance using these modules that are designed, developed and made in France!
