These flat spoons are for people with limited lip control and/or difficulty removing food from the spoon. Textured on one side and smooth on the other, they are an excellent tongue guide. They also offer a tactile sensation and develop fine motor skills as the child moves his or her fingers over 4 different textured sections – small bumps, bigger bumps, straight lines and diagonal lines – and has fun folding, turning or rolling them.
Works best with pureed foods such as yoghurt, apple sauce, stage 1 baby foods, etc. Each spoon is rigid enough to hold food, but retains some flexibility in the event that baby has a strong bite reflex. They can also be used as tongue depressors.

These are actually spoons. In the provided manual it is clearly stated: these are spoons and they should not be chewed or bitten. Disappointed with my purchase as it does not meet my need. Could you please modify the product description on the site to avoid misleading customers.
