PEBEO

Founded in 1919 in Provence, near Marseille, Pebeo is a pioneering brand in fine arts paints. Its name is inspired by the PbO molecule once used in the production of paints.

Initially focused on the professional sphere, Pebeo turned to the artistic world as early as 1934, notably developing the first ready-to-use colors and gouache palettes for schools in the 1950s. Over the decades, Pebeo continued to grow, guided by a single passion: color. Working alongside renowned artists, Pebeo observes their techniques and pays close attention to their needs in order to innovate and create products that make artistic practice accessible to everyone: professional artists, passionate amateurs, children, and teachers. From canvas to textiles and ceramics, Pebeo offers the right paint to freely express creativity.
