Cutting, folding

• On the imitation leather paper, trace a large 16 cm x 6 cm rectangle using the downloadable template.
• Inside this rectangle, trace:
• a line 0.7 cm from the edge. You get a 6 x 0.7 cm rectangle.
• a line 1.5 cm from the top edge, along the entire length. You get a 15.3 x 1.5 cm rectangle.
• attached to the 6 x 0.7 cm rectangle, a 4.5 x 2.3 cm rectangle (indicated as 1 on the template)
• a slanted line starting 2 cm from the bottom. You get a triangle (indicated as 2 on the template)
• then a line every 0.5 cm until the initial rectangle is filled (in blue on the template)
• Cut out the grey areas (1 and 2): we will not use them. And cut the fringes (blue dotted lines).
• You get two pieces:
• a small 0.7 x 6 cm rectangle.
• a piece with fringes
• Apply glue all over the upper part.
• Attach the 0.7 cm x 6 rectangle by folding it in half to form the fastener.
• Roll the entire width on itself.
